J&D announces the JPC series, new range of current sensor will be available in September 2016.
They’re for non-intrusive and isolated nominal measurements of DC, AC and pulsed currents from 100A to 2000A, in addition, the weight of plastic parts and Magnetic core has been decreased 30% than previous versions.
The new JPC series use the precision closed-loop measurements principle, which provides a direct representation of the primary current with an accuracy of from 0.25% to 0.6%. They can measure both direct and alternating currents, as well as signals with complex waveforms, over a frequency range from 0 to 100 kHz. A particular benefit of these devices is high resistance to interference from magnetic fields generated by external current-carrying conductors.
Operating from a dual supply voltage from ±12 to ±24V (depending on the models), the JPC series can measure higher current range versus the previous generation, up to three times the primary nominal current when responding faster against a di/dt step with a response time of less than 1.0 μs, due to a dedicated special magnetic core and winding design.
The JPC series come in a range of standard sizes and their compact construction offers high degree of freedom for integration into individual applications. Typical applications are in Speed drives, Servo motor drives, UPS, Battery-supply installations, Power supplies for welding, Air conditioning, PV inverters, Frequency converters, and Robotics integrate a higher number of current sensors due to the high levels of control and automation that improve productivity and energy efficiency.
